Sharon L. Zavalanski, CPA
Sharon’s forte is navigating tax issues with small businesses and individuals. Having passed the CPA exam in 1989, Sharon has extensive experience assisting others with preparing federal and state income tax returns, payroll tax returns, sales and use taxes, and personal property tax returns. She is also well versed in audit and review of company financial statements, federal, state, and insurance audit representation, and she is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor.
Zach Zavalanski
Zach Zavalanski specializes in payroll and accounting. He has a background of working in the accounting and tax business all his life and loves what he does!
Zach has been involved in the tax world his entire life. As a toddler, he attended meetings and went to the tax office — payroll and accounting were a natural progression. In 2014, Zach started his own firm, Pencil Payroll, and handles the payroll for Sharon’s firm. He also has his own Twitch channel “TheRealBlayst” and is very popular with his followers. Zach enjoys playing and watching ice hockey.

Jennifer Stokes
Jennifer Stokes is the newest member of SLACPA’s team. She had worked for more than 20 years in the wine and beer wholesale industry before earning a bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 2019 — and joining our team in 2020 as a Junior Tax Accountant. She resides in Fairfax County with her husband. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, reading books, and the beach is her “happy place.”

Stephanie Kendra
Stephanie Kendra is an Executive Assistant with over 20 years of experience working in management alongside executive teams. Stephanie prides herself on her excellent customer service skills, as well as on providing strong support to a busy tax team in a high-paced office environment. She graduated from Broad Run High School and later went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in English from Southern New Hampshire University. She has lived all her life in Northern Virginia and currently resides in Manassas with her husband, five children, and three dogs. Her favorite hobbies are spending time with her family, reading books, writing, going to the movies, and vacationing in the Outer Banks.
